What Are Hemorrhoids (Piles)? Causes | Treatment

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids, also called piles, are vascular structures in the rectum and anus. In normal state they help to control stool passage, they become a disease when swollen and inflamed. Sometimes the walls of these blood vessels stretch so thin that the veins bulge and get irritated, especially when you poop. Swollen hemorrhoids are also called piles.Hemorrhoids are one of the most common causes of rectal bleeding,Hemorrhoids are one of the most common causes of rectal bleeding. They're rarely dangerous and usually clear up in a couple of weeks. But you should see your doctor to make sure it's not a more serious condition. He can also remove hemorrhoids that won't go away or are very painful.

How do you heal hemorrhoids?

Use topical treatments. Apply an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone, or use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent. Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath. Soak your anal area in plain warm water 10 to 15 minutes two to three times a day.

How do I get rid of hemorrhoids fast?

Add soothing and healing ingredients, if desired. Warm water alone will be soothing, but you may also find additional relief by adding known hemorrhoid healers such as table salt, epsom salts, chamomile, yarrow, and calendula. Soak for about 20 minutes. Take a 20 minute sitz bath after every bowel movement.

causes:-

A buildup of pressure in your lower rectum can affect blood flow and make the veins there swell. That may happen from extra weight, when you're obese or pregnant. Or it could come from:
  • lack of exercise,
  • Nutritional factors (low-fiber diets),
  • Increased intra-abdominal pressure
  • Pushing during bowel movements
  • Straining when you do something that's physically hard, like lifting something heavy
  • People who stand or sit for long stretches of time are at greater risk, too.
You may get them when you have constipation or diarrhea that doesn't clear up. Coughing, sneezing, and vomiting could make them worse.
