Protect yourself from Covid-19

Maintain 6 feet distance

  • Inside your home: Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • If possible, maintain 6 feet between the person who is sick and other household members.
  • Outside your home: Put 6 feet of distance between yourself and people who don’t live in your household.
    • Remember that some people without symptoms may be able to spread virus.

Wear a mask

  • Everyone 2 years and older should wear masks in public.
  • Masks should be worn in addition to staying at least 6 feet apart, especially around people who don’t live with you.
  • If someone in your household is infected, people in the household should take precautions including wearing masks to avoid spread to others.
It makes you safe

  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before putting on your mask.
  • Wear your mask over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin.
  • Fit the mask snugly against the sides of your face, slipping the loops over your ears or tying the strings behind your head.
  • If you have to continually adjust your mask, it doesn’t fit properly, and you might need to find a different mask type or brand.
  • Make sure you can breathe easily.

Avoid crowds

  • Being in crowds like in restaurants, bars, fitness centers, or movie theaters puts you at higher risk for COVID-19.
  • Avoid indoor spaces that do not offer fresh air from the outdoors as much as possible.
  • If indoors, bring in fresh air by opening windows and doors, if possible.

Signs and Symptoms | Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever

Ebola (EVD)

Ebola virus disease (EVD), also known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) or simply Ebola.
The Ebola virus causes an acute, serious illness which is often fatal if untreated. Ebola virus disease (EVD) first appeared in 1976 in 2 simultaneous outbreaks, one in what is now, Nzara, South Sudan, and the other in Yambuku, Democratic Republic of Congo. The latter occurred in a village near the Ebola River, from which the disease takes its name.
The 2014–2016 outbreak in West Africa was the largest and most complex Ebola outbreak since the virus was first discovered in 1976. There were more cases and deaths in this outbreak than all others combined. It also spread between countries, starting in Guinea then moving across land borders to Sierra Leone and Liberia.

Sign & Symptoms

Fever, Severe headache, Muscle pain, Weakness, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Abdominal (stomach) pain.
The virus family Filoviridae includes three genera: Cuevavirus, Marburgvirus, and Ebolavirus. Within the genus Ebolavirus, five species have been identified: Bundibugyo ebolavirus, Reston ebolavirus, Sudan ebolavirus, Taï Forest ebolavirus and Zaire ebolavirus. Bundibugyo ebolavirus, Zaire ebolavirus, and Sudan ebolavirus have been associated with large outbreaks in Africa. The virus causing the 2014–2016 West African outbreak belongs to the Zaire ebolavirus species.

Ebola Spreading

Ebola then spreads through human-to-human transmission via direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and with surfaces and materials e.g. bedding, clothing contaminated with these fluids.

The Ebola virus may be able to persist for more than 3 months in the semen after recovery, which could lead to infections through sexual intercourse.
Health Care workers treating people with Ebola are at greatest risk of infection. The risk increases when they do not have appropriate protective clothing such as masks, gowns, gloves and eye protection, do not wear it properly, or handle contaminated clothing incorrectly. This risk is particularly common in parts of Africa where the disease mostly occurs and health systems function poorly.

Daylight Saving | Time Changes 2018 in USA

Daylight Savings 2018

Daylight Savings time abbreviated as 'DST'.
Daylight Saving in the Australia 2018, DST in Canada 2018

Historically, daylight saving time has begun in the summer months and ended for winter, though the dates have changed over time as the U.S. Government has passed new statutes, according to the United States Naval Observatory (USNO).

Typically, regions that use daylight saving time adjust clocks forward one hour close to the start of spring and adjust them backward in the autumn to standard time.

Daylight Savings in USA 2018

In USA the DST is according to Uniform Time Act Of 1966, DST begins in the United States on the 2nd Sunday of March, when people move their clocks forward an hour at 2 a.m. local standard time, So at 2 a.m. on that day, the clocks will then read 3 a.m. local daylight time. Daylight saving time ends on the 1st Sunday in November, when clocks are moved back an hour at 2 a.m. local daylight time, so they will then read 1 a.m. local standard time

The regions where DST not observed

DST is generally not observed near the equator, where sunrise times do not vary enough to justify it. Only a few of the world's population uses DST, because Asia and Africa generally do not observe it.

Seasonal Influenza | Symptoms, Treatment, and Prevention

Influenza:-

The word Influenza comes from the Italian language meaning "Influence". Influenza, Commonly known as The Flu is an infectious disease caused by an influenza virus.

Symptoms:-

Symptoms can be mild to severe. Symptoms of influenza can start quite suddenly one to two days after infection.
The most common symptoms include: a high fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle pains, headache , coughing and felling tired. These symptoms typically begin two days after exposure to the virus and most last less than a week.

The cough, however, may last for more than two weeks. In children, there may be nausea and vomiting, but these are not common in adults. Nausea and vomiting occur more commonly in the unrelated infection Gastroenteritis, which is sometimes inaccurately referred to as "stomach flu" or the "24-hour flu". Complications of influenza may include Viral Pneumonia, secondary bacterial pneumonia, Sinus infections, and worsening of previous health problems such as asthma or heart failure.
How to prevent from Flu, Influenza

Three types of influenza viruses affect people, called Type A, Type B, and Type C.

A person may be infectious to others both before and during the time they are showing symptoms. The infection may be confirmed by testing the throat, sputum  or nose for the virus.

How flu spread:-

Most experts believe that flu viruses spread mainly by tiny droplets made when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby. Less often, a person might also get flu by touching a surface or object that has flu virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.
The first and most important step in preventing flu is to get a flu vaccination each year. Frequent hand washing reduces the risk of viral spread.
Staying away from people who are sick, covering coughs and sneezes also helps in prevention against Flu.

What Are Hemorrhoids (Piles)? Causes | Treatment

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids, also called piles, are vascular structures in the rectum and anus. In normal state they help to control stool passage, they become a disease when swollen and inflamed. Sometimes the walls of these blood vessels stretch so thin that the veins bulge and get irritated, especially when you poop. Swollen hemorrhoids are also called piles.Hemorrhoids are one of the most common causes of rectal bleeding,Hemorrhoids are one of the most common causes of rectal bleeding. They're rarely dangerous and usually clear up in a couple of weeks. But you should see your doctor to make sure it's not a more serious condition. He can also remove hemorrhoids that won't go away or are very painful.

How do I get rid of hemorrhoids fast?

Add soothing and healing ingredients, if desired. Warm water alone will be soothing, but you may also find additional relief by adding known hemorrhoid healers such as table salt, epsom salts, chamomile, yarrow, and calendula. Soak for about 20 minutes. Take a 20 minute sitz bath after every bowel movement.

causes:-

A buildup of pressure in your lower rectum can affect blood flow and make the veins there swell. That may happen from extra weight, when you're obese or pregnant. Or it could come from:
  • lack of exercise,
  • Nutritional factors (low-fiber diets),
  • Increased intra-abdominal pressure
  • Pushing during bowel movements
  • Straining when you do something that's physically hard, like lifting something heavy
  • People who stand or sit for long stretches of time are at greater risk, too.
You may get them when you have constipation or diarrhea that doesn't clear up. Coughing, sneezing, and vomiting could make them worse.
